RPLIDAR S2L comes with an upgraded product, by increasing the operating performance of hardware and optimizing the internal algorithms. It applies the Direct Time of Flight(DToF) theory that emits and receives the laser pulse to measure the distance by calculating the flight time. Compared to Triangulation Laser Sensor, it performs much higher precision, higher sampling frequency, and longer measuring distance.

It implements 2D point cloud map information generating and you can deploy it to map, navigate, position robots, model objects, or other practical use. By its small and compact structure, along with its IEC-60825 Class 1 eye safety rating, the RPLIDAR S2L can perform high standards of operation in your property of which the output laser power is harmless to the human eye.

The IP65 design of this precision mechanical equipment is well protected from foreign bodies such as tools, dirt, and liquid water. Additionally, it retains its functionality against high-intensity 80000 lux light.
