The module is based on the HL-A838 integrated infrared receiver infrared receiver module. Can receive infrared transmitter module (the link) into a modulated infrared signal sent to 38KHz, and demodulated into logic level, which receives the modulated infrared signal that is output low, otherwise the output is high, the application of the program codec to complete infrared remote control.

Module features are as follows:

Low-power, wide-angle and long distance reception

Supply voltage can be 3.3V ~ 5.5V

Output matching TTL, CMOS level, active low

4 M2 screws positioning holes for easy installation

Control Interface : A total of three pins (GND, VCC, SIG), GND to ground, VCC is the power supply, SIG is the signal output pin.

Integrated infrared receiver : 38KHz square wave can be demodulated modulated infrared signal and outputs the corresponding logic level.

Positioning holes : 4 M2 screws positioning hole diameter is 2.2mm, the positioning of the module is easy to install, to achieve inter-module combination;
